Ever find yourself wandering over to a fridge or thinking about food even when you’re not hungry? The Japanese have a word for that called “Kuchisabishii” which literally means “lonely mouth” or “longing to have or put something in one’s mouth.”
I think about my visits to Japan often, as well as all the foods my mouth is missing when I’m not there. To represent this feeling I decided to draw a daydreaming Kewpie, because 1) Kewpie mayo is life and 2) they’re just so kawaii!
